His FA Cup winning goal celebration running a fair distance in that mad period of goals at the end of the final was pretty something even for those times when doing that was a childhood dream come true rather than a distraction or an injury risk in a stadium with little atmosphere or fun anymore.

He's not really built for running even the width of a five-a-side pitch these days (although he does a good job of filling it). But yes, I too miss the days when players seemed to celebrate without worrying about their social media image. Like Wright in our cup final.

I recall Chris Jones scoring on his debut for us early in the game at home to Wolves. We lost 4-3, and I think this was the game that Paul Barron made an error, gifting Wolves a goal.I think Andy Gray played for Wolves in the match. A rather long time ago and my memory appears to have diminished with the passage of time!

It's a bit worrying that nobody has listed his achievements, I thought he's supposed to be this super scout. C'mon Willo you must have some info? Edited by Badger11 (20 Jun 2021 1.30pm)

Edited by Badger11 (20 Jun 2021 1.30pm) Prior to joining us he was Lead scout at Norwich covering domestic and European Leagues, including Germany,Spain, Italy etc. Jones has also been scout at Huddersfield. Norwich in pre-season have lost one of their top players,Buendia and now one of their top scouts.

funnily enough one of our old boys runs Norwich U23s (he ran the U18s before) - David Wright. He was bought by Burley as a defender but Dougie played him in midfield, and he had a sort of free sweeper role some games - he had two left feet but was brilliant positionally. We've already got Derry and Paddy in situ, but I've always kept an eye on Wright's progress as he looks a classic case of an average player who becomes a great coach, we can stick with the chief scout for now though.
