It’s academic if Roy actually wanted to retire though. The last year has changed a lot of people’s viewpoints and priorities -

Absolute madness letting him go without a replacement. I really thought the club would have copped on. Shocking. I truly thought we had a plan for going forward and I'm very disappointed to realise we haven't. Some of my mates relinquished their season tickets because they were less optimistic about next season than I but they're probably smiling now!

In terms of reinstating Roy- I guess the big question is-Who,s choice was it for him to leave ? I am 100% not in the know - If Roy decided not to continue because the job was going to be too hard / pretty much impossible with so many players contracts requiring renewal & a budget of only £xxxx - then it may well be the best option for the club to call Roy & ask him, well how much budget do you think we need to be able to continue ? If the club called it a day because of his age & the size of the playing staff rebuild that was necessary, well then with the best will in the world Roy isn't going to get any younger.

Love Roy, but it’s a definite NO from me!! Whoever we end up with and when, it needed freshening up, a new gaffer and get rid of the deadwood and those that are coasting on big money

No, Stop going back and look forward ….. to whatever that will be but I have faith in SP to get it right. Thanks Roy and a well earned CBE for services to football for which, you were handsomely paid let’s not forget. You left at the right time both for yourself and the club, it had to happen at some point and with Palace whenever is the right time!!

Shocking planning yet again in the recruitment area. We are so bad at this surely we had enough time to sort out a manager before RH's planned exit.
