I think some posters are wrongly summarising the sentiment of '...finishing above Brighton'. It is a highlight because we had an appallingly dull, undramatic and unattended season. Finishing above Brighton is the slim pickings from said season, not our initial and only ambition at the start! As for deriding the rivalry, thank God it's still in place or else we'd have nada to consider as a highlight aside from West Brom away!!!!

Yes, they did have a dirty great number of attempts in that game, but on that occasion, their strikers couldn't hit the proverbial bovine's derrière with a stringed musical instrument. If they had players who could have converted those chances into goals, they would indeed have some justification in convincing themselves that they really were "the better team". Sadly for them, the table doesn't lie, and showed they ended up being "a worse team than us".

Their lowly position in the table was due to not having a striker who could score goals and if they rectified that they would probably be looking down the table at us

I thought it was rather sad at the time and think that the highlight of our season being finishing above Brighton equally sad This........And people wonder why Zaha wants out so bad! Sad saaaaad post!! Thank f+*k my Brooklyn Nets are killing it, least I can watch a team with pride and a fan base with such.........I begrudge the days, Daniel, Marcus etc Kicked Crystal Palace into me as a kid going to Ratfern School. Bullied yeah but glad it made me man the f*@k up........I'd love to catch them little bullies now!
