What a shame they didn't build the main stand during the past year. It would have been perfect during lockdown and minimal disruption

Would have been ideal time but would imagine still awaiting planning. Still don't understand the big unveiling a while back of the plans and model of stand when they knew we had to go through this process very unprofessional.

My suspicion is that the ring fenced money is actually a loan facility we can draw down on when the project starts, to be repaid with interest of course.

How much did they buy their 36% share for then? And where did the money go? The original 4? These Americans have brought cash flow and ability to borrow from them, especially when Allardyce came in, but not always as we borrowed money from Australia I think it was while waiting for AWB payments. We’ve used the ‘’slither of car park owned by Sainsbury’s’’ excuse and even begged season ticket fans to not claim their £120 each to fund the building of the academy.

American investors. They don’t belong in English or European football.

Our budget will be based on how much we get for Wilf and those that are no longer on our wage bill. I don't expect any further money than that.

I will be really surprised if Zaha moves on unless we drop the price to 30m and I can't see that happening.

OK, I have had an uniformed go at some numbers

For the sake of discussion let's assume the total cost of the new stand is 80 million. Add some debt service cost and contingencies of 10 million. So we have a total net out lay of 90 million.

Extra seats 8000 provides @ 5.6 million per season
( based on ST cost assumption ) but that is not ring fenced for stand costs but let's say all goes in to pay back stand cost fund.Over 10 years that contributes 56 million.

So we need another 34 million over 10 years, let's say 3.4 per year.

If match day revenue from boxes then that's @ 180K per match ( exc any cup games ) in a 19 games season. Assume profit margin is 100% on overall cost of providing the services then each match day the boxes need to generate 360K per match. Let's say 20 boxes, each one needs to generate 18000.

A box usually has say 15 seats, that's 1200 per head per box per game `which seems unrealistic. If we say half of that is changed to non football day revenues the boxes only need to charge a mere 600 per head per game. I don't know what are current top end match day experience costs but I doubt it 600 per head

Our 21/22 box deals for 10 persons are @ 35000 per season. So thats @ 180 per head per match, seems there's a hole in the numbers

Confident I have missed somethings here

It was a distractive issue and worked as such for a while.

Please refer to my signature.

Expanding on this, if we remain a stable lower half of the table team, if we expand the capacity by say 10,000 seats, do we believe there are 10,000 people chomping at the bit to shell out say 700 a season ticket . That would generate gross 7,000,000 a year, maybe the basic salary of two decent players.

I believe with the likely shift in working patterns post covid the demand for some kind of conference centre needs to be reconsidered.

The only way I can see us getting any new stadium upgrade is to be bought by a mega rich outfit and the stadium is part of an overall humongous spend.

Interested for anyone who understands the economics of this to put forward the financial case for the proposed stadium expansion.

Did SO not say that the new stand would include more corporate boxes, which bring in far more income?

I agree with you my comments were meant to indicate they have given us bugger all and if we ever do build the stadium what interest rate will they charge us for the loan.

So you have nothing that runs on lithium-ion rechargeable batteries like mobile phones, laptop, tablet etc.

Please don't start your virtue signalling rubbish again.

If you feel so strongly about cobalt then don't have any items that use cobalt.

Empty vessel
