Rafa to us.

Never in a million years unless the shareholders put money in to the club and Parish allows Rafa to manage the team without Dougie buying players that he doesn't want or getting rid of those that he does.

He left Newcastle bacause of the interference from upstairs so he's unlikely to jump out of the frying pan into the fire as he's not that desperate

Rafa or Lampard would be a huge step up, would prefer Rafa but can't see it happening.

In his interview Rafa has said that he wants to go to a club who are competing for trophy’s or are close to competing.

This is very disrespectful to Mr Hodgson who is respected globally, has managed some of the most famous clubs in the world as well as on the International stage in a management career which commenced 45 years ago and has ensured our survival in the PL season-on-season on a relative pittance.

I don't understand some people's fascination with Benitez.

He wouldn't be a good fit at Palace

In his defence, I didn't think he could do anything at Newcastle but he did a very good job. That surprised me.

He took on the Newcastle job with 10 games left in the season with the club in 19th place in the PL.
Despite only losing 3 of Benitez's 10 games in charge, the club finished in 18th place and were relegated.

The following season, they were promoted back to the PL as Champions. In the Championship they brought in about £33 Mill more than they actually spent on incoming transfers.

In the next season in the PL they finished in 10th place and the following season (Benitez's last) they finished in 13th place.
Newcastle's Net Spend in the 2 seasons back in the PL under Benitez was around £30 Mill so overall during his time there the club brought in more than they spent on transfer fees.

To use an analogy from the Good Book, Willo, a prophet is not without honour except in his own town. And Joni Mitchell reminded us 50 years ago that we don't know what we've lost until it's gone.

She also claimed that all the trees were taken and put in a tree museum.

So I'm not sure I trust her word on anything

I think he'll be forever remembered for the Iceland debacle. Non Palace fans may also remember him for making Palace the drabbest team in the PL. Most don't consider keeping Palace in the PL much of an achievement. Unlike us of course.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

I agree. His career has been very hit and miss. He done well at Valencia and Liverpool but was sacked very early in his reign by Inter and Real Madrid and seems have a history of falling out with boards and fans,
