All superfluous as Mr Hodgson will still be manager next season.

Peeps on here have said, that Roy is a dinosaur, looking at Roy and the the suggestions on who should take over, Howe, Wilder and now Lampard, look at the bottom six of the premier league, they have a thing in common, all are English, or managed by English the two highest of British origin in the league are scots

I've never been a supporter of English or British managers out of patriotism, and if you go back 20 years or so our managers were builders and foreign managers were architects, examples are McClaren, Phil Brown, Peter Reid, but that does not apply any more, the stats you point to are misleading - Dean Smith, Potter, Wilder, Bruce, Pearson, Howe, Dyche, Southgate are all quality managers - any time between 2012 and 2020 you'd have been citing Moyes as an example of limited British management, but now he's taken his chance. Lampard did a great job with the youngsters at Chelsea - nobody was expecting champions league football last season, he's not the first to find transplanting marquee signings all at once can backfire, Tuchel's doing a bit of a Hodgson, keeping it tight and being clinical in attack. Lampard would be a bit of a risk, but he could be a breath of fresh air, Derby have gone backwards since he left - the issue would be who he brings in and gets rid of, those decisions would be very difficult and improvement would not happen over night. Personally my take on Parish is that Eddie Howe would be his ideal candidate - progressive, possession-based football with premier league experience.

Harry, is almost certainly talking up his nephew, but would it be such a bad idea if people are truly wanting a change in the way Palace, go about being a Premier league team?
Up to now the names thrown about have not really offered the promise of that much change . People have talked of developing a young side. Frank, handled a young set of players well enough last year to get European football for Chelsea, what’s to say he couldn’t get something going here with the club making some more promising younger signings? He would certainly want the side to play with more style than we have done for some time. If we are going to go for change, he would bring real change. But it couldn’t happen with to many of the present side left in place.

Frank was found out in the end. He had a squad of brilliant players and he made that team look very average. He will be blessed if he gets a job in a top league again.

No one could say it wasn’t Working out to well this season for him.
But when he took the job many thought Chelsea , were likely to not even get a place in Europe. He did it using young players from the ranks, in a way that hadn’t happened there for years.
Yes this part season will go down as a black mark, deserved or otherwise, but which of the possible candidates mentioned as of yet for our job hasn’t had a poor period in their careers , some have overseen a relegation.
It’s not always the case that a set back ,is an indication the individual is no good at the job. Everything has to come together, and that is never a given where ever a manager works. A prime example right now is David Moyes, great at Everton, has failed to excite anywhere else since , until now at W Ham.
I wouldn’t encourage the idea of Frank, coming to Palace unless the club was about to reinvent the team. Doing as they did with FdB, thinking he could transform a workman like squad into slick operators without some tears, was almost tragic, and the same could easily apply to Lampard, if placed in the same position.

Harry should go for a walk around Sandbanks and keeps his ideas to himself.

Lampard has never been in a relegation battle.

I hope so. A Champions League winner who knows how to stay up. What's not to like?

I wouldn’t be totally opposed to Frank/Morris combination coming in.

Apparently Morris is held is high regard within the game as a great coach alongside Frank who likes to play a modern, attractive game whilst showing a willingness to play youth.

Their 2.5 seasons as a management team cannot be sniffed at. They made significant strides forward with Derby and took them to within one game of promotion to the Premier League by playing young, hungry, exciting players including the likes of Tomori, Mount, Harry Wilson and Tom Lawrence.

Year two was the debut Chelsea season, unexpectedly taking them to a top four finish by again showing a trust in youth including Tomori, Mount, Abraham, Gilmour, Hudson-Odoi and Reece James playing an exciting brand with youthful exuberance.

If they can replicate this at Palace through effective coaching, modernising the style and bringing some excitement and on-field ambition, I would not be opposed to it.

Furthermore, I see Lampard as a big name in the game that might help attract players to the club. Plus, Morris will be very much aware of the best Chelsea youth prospects in their Academy and might be able to sway them in joining us as part of the ‘project’.

Thinking about the future, with Cahill approaching retirement, having him as part of the set up would be great and the Chelsea connection may help us out again.

Frank is as professional as they come and with Parish undoubtedly keen to see a return on the money invested in the Academy, Lampard’s credentials are as good as any in my opinion.

I thought Frank did quite well until he was forced to play with players he didn't particularly want.

Maybe a bonus would be if he played himself in our midfield
