Good clip of Herm saying you're in it to win it. Are you suggesting Palace are not or is it a gentle nudge at those who are forecasting we'll lose?

I don't think Roy or any of our players go on the field without wanting to win. I'm hoping that there'll be some surprises in both the team and formation when we face Everton, so I expect a 2-1 victory for Palace.

BTW, is it cold where you are?

When Roy comes out after 0-0 with Fulham at home saying how pleased he was and bigging up Guetas game winning save for a point .. then I really don’t think he does go out to win a game .. he plays not to lose ..

It is painful watching what gets dished up week in week out. Even now being practically safe, it will be the same Groundhog Day system. The players know it you know it Everton know it.

Roy gives politicians answers. I suspect he may have been trying to put a positive spin on the result rather than playing for the draw.

Back to the game. We've beaten one top half team this season, 28 games ago! We've got a full squad and Everton are inconsistent. I suspect an ugly win might be on the cards. 1-0 Palace.

First of all, I expect the Evertonian "speaker crowd" to be much louder than the usual silence you get at Goodison for long periods, but even so it's hard to look beyond a draw for this match. Could of course go either way, but a 1 -1 draw seems most likely to me.

And yes, we may fall asleep while watching it. Wake up to see some single eyebrow-raising from Ancelotti, and a cheeky s****** from Roy, or some pantomime act from big Dunc, which could be more exciting than the game itself.

Mine's a light and bitter.

I will say that the highlights of recent games have not exactly been uplifting.

Everton have lost confidence at home just like their friends across the road, so we could if we improve our passing keep this continuing and we have Liverpool for the last game, could be reasonable too.

lol

Would love to see JP start, Kouyate play in midfield and Kelly or Tonka at the back with Cahill. I’d also like to see Shlupp on the left and Wilf on the right with Ebs being encouraged to go where he likes and get on the ball as much as possible.

1 - 2 COYP

Tonka - Bean a long time since we've seen him. Think a draw will be a good result. Like to see Mateta a bit more sometime soon.

Ha! We had a frigid February and temps are just beginning to creep over 0 C.

The suggestion with the clip is that Roy sets up the side to get the best possible result (presumably a win). That is the objective, not to look pretty. The players play to win, not to entertain. Still puzzled by all the comments complaining about our style of play and the aesthetics of the operation when, in fact, we are performing quite well relative to other clubs at or around our stature.

I'm with you on this. But mildly pleased I'm not with you in the windy city. Thought it might still be a tad cold there. Never been, doubt I ever will now.
