Anyone still remember the Fulham game in our first season back up? We took an early lead and then Fulham scored two absolute belters which completely turned the game around and they ran out 4-1 winners. I was going to mention this. Two fantastic goals

Its amusing when the commentator says something like: That’s his first goal in 10 years That’s his first hatrick ever This player has not assisted a goal in his whole career until now John Stones as an example scoring two goals in a match for first time ever! Or any other statement where we have allowed a player to break his embarrassing duck.. We are a caring club!! As soon as I heard the commentator mention Traore's goal drought the other night I felt it was nailed on for him to score!
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Giroud multiple times, Dimitri Payet, Sigurdsson (multiple times). Have long thought teams only choose us to stick it top bins but have realised fans of all teams probably think that.

Whenever you see Premier League compilations of "Stunners from outside the box" or "Wonder goals of the decade" on facebook, or ones from MOTD we always feature heavily.

I have now been reminded of a game against Coventry 20 or so years ago. We always seemed to lose against them at Selhurst. If they didn’t play particularly well, we played worse. Leading up to this match we had been in a good run of form with Freedman and Morrison banging in the goals. I went along full of confidence knowing this time we were going to teach them a lesson. However when the teams came out, they weren’t in their usual sky blue kit, but were in a much darker blue, almost navy and this unsettled me straight away. Then 10 or perhaps 15 minutes after the start, one of their players scored with an audacious lob from much the same position as Kasami’s first Fulham goal, if not further out. They added a second before half-time, at which point I said to my neighbours that I had seen more than enough games against Coventry and went home.

Was it Jay Boothroyd I seem to remember he lobbed our keeper from about 40 yards?

Coventry were on the attack, but there didn't seem to be any threat and then all of a sudden the ball was in our net. They won 3-1 in the end. Freedman scored for us.

How about Matty Phillips of QPR up the Whitehorse land end a few years ago. We were 3-0 up at the time so it didn’t matter much, but that one definitely stayed hit!! A great strike, which I had a perfect view of from my seat behind the goal
