I'm expecting a traditional backs to the wall performance. With Schlupp out and Eze seemingly incapable of defending I would be tempted to play 4-5-1 with Riedewald on the left of a middle three to provide additional cover and Zaha as a sort of false 9 leading the line. I do feel more confident with Tomkins back and we have looked more solid since his return. Probably more out of hope than expectation I am going to go for a 2-1 win

Ques que ce, languorous?' A very good word Willo. I think it means - bone idle or something like that! Palace played a day earlier and rested quite a few of the first team squad. If Arsenal haven't recovered fully the it could be a traditional 0-1? If they have recovered fully, and play well, then it's 3-0

I gave up watching last night's match. Didn't think much of them. Think our performance will be a carbon copy of the Toon. Tekkers, like Carroll heading more crosses over his own goal than the Arse's. Like them we will have a brief spell where we threaten but largely they will be able to move the ball around patiently at will. If our defence holds it will be 0-0, otherwise 1 or 2-0 the Arse.

A reminder - we are unbeaten in FOUR league games against Arsenal (1 win and 3 draws). I reckon that run might just continue with another draw 1-1.

Just to think a few weeks ago,the Arse were well and truly struggling with many pundits including BFS and Merson openly suggesting a relegation battle for them and calling for Arteta's sacking.

There will not be a rollover for Arsenal but I don't see us scoring so either a 0-0 or a 0-1 in their favour. The extra time off for most of the team will hopefully be in our favour. Come on Palace.
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

Depth of squad + resources enabl8ng recovery the extra day will make no difference. What will matter is their confidence from the good run.
