Sorry that's just ridiculous..!! So we have a free hit - no prem points at stake, we ain't going to win the FA Cup - forget it..!! OK play a team of fringe players - but the bench are you for real - where's the the U23 players to give them some experience. Zaha on the bench really, why..!! Now tell me that Roy can't see further than the end of his nose and will never give youth a chance. Joke..!! COYP

I think it's pretty sad/insulting that after giving an interview about Meyer being an utmost professional and working hard in training (albeit doesn't fit the 'system') that he can't even make the bench for a cup game. Neither can any youth.. Not exactly great promotion for the academy. Learn to play at Palace but don't expect to ever get anywhere in the team unless there is an injury crisis.

We would have in our last final if it wasn't for that c**t ref! We won't get relegated so I'm glad we've put out a decent team and I hope we win tonight

You dont just throw away a competition because you dont think we will win it. You're blaming the manager for trying!? I actually really like this team. Arguably more exciting than what we normally put out (although it may just be because there is some difference). I want to win every game and glad we are giving it a go. I never want a manager who throws in the towel before we start. I've criticised hodgson in the past and the game hasnt started yet but, I'm glad were trying at least.

COYP Roy explained at the end of last season that senior players get upset if you drop them for youngsters. You've got to stick send your senior professionals half way across the county to sit on the bench at 0degrees in full knowledge they won't be going on the pitch or they will might get grumpy?

Theres always something disingenuous about Roy's press conferences. He always makes the right noises, but never seems to have any emotion behind it. Nevertheless, we have a line up stacked with international. We should give this a good go!
