I'd like to see:

Butland,
Clyne, Sakho, Dann, PVA,
Banks, Jairo, McCarthy, Eze,
Ayew, Bats

Certainly need to give Butland a start. Eze not having as much game time recently would be my choice in his best position as a no 10 alongside Bats. A back four of Clyne, Tomkins (more game time but will probably be Dann), Sakho or Dann and PVA. And then a midfield including Reidewald, McCarthy, Ayew (out wide) and Meyer. Could be a strong 11 without those that started yesterday playing?

I don't expect to see either Sakho or Meyer starting.

Sakho was on the bench yesterday, so it’s possible he will start alongside Dann - we shall see?

We are 8 points above Brighton and 11 above Fulham.

Let's give it a go! Maybe rest Wilf, otherwise, the squad is pretty strong.

Give everyone something a bit more to hope for than survival and a vaccine.

Yep, Wolves have been reluctant to rest players during prior years. But this year they are hurting.
Field a strong team with some fringe players (Butland, PVA, Sakho, Riederwald, Meyer, Bats), along with Townsend, Eze, Clyne, Dann, McCarthy, Ayew).
Then have Zaha off the bench.

With the unfortunate injury to Jimenez, Wolves do not possess many options in attack at this juncture. They have played the 18 year old Fabio Silva and another 18 year old Theo Corbeanu has been on the bench.
There have been rumours of Diego Costa joining the club.

Other teenagers who have been in their matchday squads of late have been Rayan Ait-Nouri,Lewis Richards,Owen Otasowie,Taylor Perry,Luke Cundle, Ki-Jana Hoever and Andreas Sondegaard.
A bit different to our 'Dad's Army' !

that was a terrible injury for Jimenez. Hope he recovers. When Luis heade him you could here the scull crack. Truly awful. Modern football will ban heading before long.

Our squad i think is the deepest it has ever been. Our bench is so strong. Players who did not start yesterday would be competitive even if it is was a league game.
Butland
Clyne Dann Sakho PVA
McCarthy Riedewald
Ayew Eze Meyer
Bat's
As alluded to already it is a question of who from the first team you take as cover. We have a week to prepare and a week after to prepare for Arsenal so i think Roy can take most of them. Perhaps rest McCarthur Zaha and Milo as they played in all the games over the break.

Pretty much spot on, don’t want to see Wilf anywhere near the team .. plus maybe keep Eze fresh ..and play a few of the under 23s it’s a long tough January/Feb

There's got to be more to our football life than PL survival so let's have a crack at the Cup, given realistically it is the only thing we could win along with the Carabao Cup.

Rest Wilf, Jimmy Mac, Guaita, Luka, Ward and Benteke

Play Sakho, PVA, Batshuayi, Dann and Woods.

Just avoid replays.

It would be good to give a couple of youngsters who've been doing well a chance, at least off the bench. Maybe Banks and Woods? As others have said, we have almost two reasonable quality first XI's. No need to risk anyone who has struggled with injuries, or in positions where we have less cover. Give Butland his debut. Whenever we mix things up for the cup games the players invariably look as if they're meeting for the first time, but it does give players like Clyne, Cahill and Schlupp more time to recover for Arsenal and we probably have the strength in depth to give the cup more of a go this year.

If Meyer isn't even on the bench for this one then I think that could signal his departure this month.
