Wilf is worth that much and you only have to look at the dross that has been bought for 70 and 80 million. 70 million for Pepe this guy is pony and was Chilworth worth 80 million that Chelsea paid for him? Chilwell was £50m and he’s an extremely good player

Contributed to 50% of our goals this season. Without him. We'd be relegated.

He can be in a huff all he likes but AC Milan aren't going to offer 55-60mil, plus his wages, signing on fee and agent's fee. Nor are Arsenal so this is all a bit silly.

If it was Salah or Mane perhaps. If it were Banks, Eze, Schlupp, Townsend or Pierrick, then probably not.

I'd be very impressed with the club's business acumen if they were to sell mid-season the club's best player and current top scorer with or without a couple of readily available top replacements, oh yes!

There will be more transfer stories about WZ come January. Let us enjoy him while we can. His goal yesterday and his celebrations might indicate he is not so unhappy here after all.

Precisely. And replacing him would be at best mind-blowingly expensive, and at worst flat-out impossible. Zaha will be with us until the end of his current contract, or at least the last year of it.

Maybe the management team see it this way. We will struggle when Wilf leaves. It may be better to struggle now with £50m in our pocket, than to struggle in 2 years with nothing? I am in no way advocating the selling of Wilf, but I would suggest that the above is something that has been mentioned in the boardroom.

I'm sure the board have thought long and hard about it, but we've never had a decent offer.
