Like several others would be more optimistic if CB was playing.
(Who would have imagined people saying that 4 weeks ago!)
Expect a narrow defeat 0-1, 1-2 (so GD not -) but hoping we can still manage a point.

I just hope we get a decent ref for a change. Anyone know who it will be??

The referee is Jonathan Moss.
He used to be James Milner's P.E. teacher!

Biased then??
Several Livarpool defenders jumping like Benteke did the other night, but they will be given free kicks because its only little old Palace, Salah will dive in the box (as usual) and be given a penalty (without a VAR check), Zaha will be hacked to the floor in the box twice and be yellow carded for the first (diving) sent of for the second (diving again) and Klippety Klopp will have a heart attack on the pitch due to the early kick off

I would be a lot happier in Benteke was playing as he last few games he has been excellent and Ayew or Bats are not target men.

We could do with a fit Connor Wickham but there is more chance of me getting a snog off Kylie than that.

0-1 to the bin dippers lets hope I am wrong.

Agreed. However, If Liverpool play their customary high line then Batshuayi playing off the last man (and staying ONside for nice) could cause them problems. I don't see Ayew being much of a threat. Much will depend on how Wilf and Ebere work together.

In the corresponding fixture last year we were very unlucky to lose. We played well and unless my memory is playing trick (sadly it does sometimes - tempus fugit etc.) Andros gave Robertson a torrid time and we gave a good account of ourselves in attack (unlike the disaster at Anfield after 'project restart').

Prediction? 2-1 to us

Probably,a 1-1 draw, another valuable point, although a pity Benteke is ruled out for this one.

I concur. A challenging game, and getting anything from it would be a plus.

If we get a point I would be happy. I am also (I cant believe I'm saying this) disappointed that Benteke cant play.
Someone has got to stay on Mane & Salah and we generally will need to be on tip top concentration all 90 mins.. no silly fouls Luka just outside the area please.

Not only will we miss Benteke somewhat, but when he returns he'll probably be wary and play softer because of what happened. So there'll be long-term effects of two unjustified calls in a single game.

That said, I think Ayew will work harder than ever to prove he has earned more playing time.

Liverpool 2-0 or 2-1.

Remember that game and we were robbed of at least a point, played some super stuff but lost out to a scrambled Firmino goal at the death.

I'm hoping we take the game to them and try and run at their inexperienced CBs. I'll predict another 1-1.

We had a right good go at Spurs who, despite losing to Liverpool in the week, are playing terrific football. Had Benteke been available, there is no reason why we should not have threatened Liverpool. They're not the same without van Diyk, who always had Benteke in his pocket. I'm afraid Ayew carries no sort of threat against opposition like this (would be delighted to be proved wrong). Mane always scores against us. 0-2? 1-3?
But when we are not being dire (Brighton at home!)we can still cause an upset. I just don't think it will be tomorrow. Spurs, W. Ham (away) and Liverpool could have been no points from nine so things could be worse.

The most unlikely outcome I can think of is 0-0 bore draw, so I'll go for that!
