very good player but just like riedwald being overlooked. for some reason we dont want a midfielder who is really good at passing the ball, and given a chance good at attacking. How is Riedewald being overlooked exactly ? He's being consistently selected and rightly so.

Max Meyer is where all players not good enough, not strong enough, not physical enough, not clinical enough, not fast enough, not determined enough for the PL are, sat watching others playing. Absolutely spot on. Max Meyers top level career ended well before he came to Palace. Terrible signing.

Max Meyer? He has his own set of books now, but he is difficult to spot, as he doesn't stand out.

Battling with all the other defensive midfielders we have at the club : "In the 2017–18 season, under the tutelage of new manager Domenico Tedesco, Meyer played as a defensive midfielder. According to Sky Germany reporter Dirk Grosse Schlarmann, the positional change better suited his qualities with an improvement in form, and because the crowd did not expect to him to win the match, he had more time to look and think about the opening pass when Schalke went on the attack" Then had a disagreement and left the club. Looks like a similar trajectory here. You know Roy loves a defensive midfielder.
“ [T]here are known knowns; there are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns; that is to say there are things that, we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns – there are things we do not know we don't know. ” |

Edison was a left back and koyaute is a better centre back. Not sure why max cant prove to be able to be farther forwards on the pitch.

He is nearly one of the best. But nearly is a huge thing in football.
