Doesn't matter who is selected, under RH the team is instructed to play one way only, so expect Leeds to have 65% possession and target our full backs. We'll try the out-ball to Zaha who will be clogged early doors. Bats will score a nicely worked goal only to be offside. Benteke will come on in the 89th minute and run from the half way line to delightfully chip the keeper - 1-0.

Leeds keeper Meslier is 6ft 6in tall.
I understand he had a good record for saving penalties for the Leeds U23 side.

I agree with Taylors Lovechild:

VG
Clyne Kouyate Dann PvA
Townsend Jairo McArthur Schlupp
Bats Wilf

Same old, same old. Any player just coming back from an injury (Cahill, Tomkins) will never start.

Eze is going to languish on the bench all season.

If Roy goes with Cahill or Tomkins, then Kouyate will move to midfield, and Jairo will be on the bench.

Remember last year, as soon as Jairo won player of the month, Roy buried him on the bench. Jairo just won PotM again, so I'm expecting we've seen the last of him for this season.

Would like to see us start with (injuries permitting

Guiata
Clyne. Kouyate. Cahill. Schlupp

Townsend. McArthur. Reidewald. Zaha

Eze

Batshuayi

Eze to link midfield to attack with Zaha and Townsend pushing on.
Townsend to provide support down the right defensively ,although this is not Wilfs strong suit on the left but Schlupp is an athlete and can get up and down to support. Zahas not a natural striker although he’s had a good start , my brother thought they might persist with him there in the hope he bangs a few in and becomes more eye catching for potential suitors.- Who knows- still feels a bit like square pegs in round holes to me on the whole- albeit a good start from Wilf.

Anyway if the line up fails and Eze is hooked,PVA at left back push Schlupp up on the left and put Zaha forward.
Purely fictional all this , simply my take on it!!!

If Kouyate plays there we are buggered, he must play in defence Clyne just needs game time and PVA should not be allowed to defend, I'd play him where you have Schluup and move him inside in place of McArthur, Mitchel should replace PVA's troublesome defending, then I'd have Eze and Wilf up top to do their stuff and cause mayhem in the box ..and I say in the BOX, Jairo and Townsend must play.
We will win by penalties.

It will be a chip Meslier has never seen before.
