It really is a sad state of affairs when we have to talk about a team in their 8th season in the top flight having to play a cautious containing game at home to a newly promoted side. Surely it should be the other way round? Unfortunately that is the situation we find ourselves win.

Prediction we might scrape a draw if we are lucky but I am expecting a defeat.

Less than 30% possession.
Fewer than 5 touches in their box.
Fewer than 6 shots, 3 on target.
20 minutes for Eze.
10 for Benteke.

Roy will be pleased that the boys have worked very hard. Unlucky to concede the first, just switching off for a moment. The second was unfortunate as we were chasing the game. The third was late on and does not really do justice to the way we played.

We have 2 chances of scoring - 1. Wilf turns up, stops rolling his eyes and complaining to the ref, 2. One of the coaching staff explains the offside rule to Batshuayi. Otherwise we will get nil.

Pick up and move on to the next week. Our early 6 points against an unready Man U and Soton unfortunately latter to deceive.

I hope we don't revert to just kicking it long every time to avoid the press like we did against Brighton. However, if we sit deep and manage to contain them they may grow impatient and give us space to counter, so it is a tricky one. Wolves did a job on them in that respect. They seem to thrive in open games, but that is something we are unlikely to see from our team again after the first-half at Wolves, so I'm not so sure about how this one will play out.

I have a feeling we will sneak it and the commentators will complain about our anti-football as we win 1-0 with our only shot on target, while Leeds will have 57 shots.

Agree. Much will depend on which CB pairing we have and what RH decides on the FB front. I also want to see how Leeds fare against Leicester tonight. Will reserve judgement for now, therefore.

I'm sure Roy will up the suffocation tactics bigly after the Wolves showing. We only got into that match because they let us.

So, given it will be their attack vs our defence all game, probability suggests a narrow victory for them.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

I have no idea what the result will be but we have every chance of winning. They will have more of the ball but we will get chances at goal. It will come down to the fine margins again and whoever takes their chances.

Like most games in this division I wouldn’t bet on any outcome.

Unless something miraculous happens it will be the same old defend and hope something happens up front, we can only play that way, like somebody said earlier its a little embarrassing when we have been in the premier league a good few years and play like this, not sure of score but suspect it will be a hard watch.

Palace will have hardly any possession, will defend well and win by scoring on the counter attack.

Leeds are this season's one year wonders like blades last year and Watford the year before. They will win 0 1 home and away; struggle next year; and get relegated the next. Meanwhile, we will still be here bobbing about in mid table for years to come.

Watching Leeds tonight it’s clear they miss Phillips in the holding midfield role.
Every time Leicester win the ball in midfield they have a straight run on goal.
They also leave space in behind which would hopefully be tailor made for Zaha.
I don’t want to tempt fate but on the basis of this Leeds performance we could get something.

Maybe we should not start on the back foot and show too much respect to Leeds, who are managing to fall apart at home to Leicester tonight.
We can win this one with a more positive outlook from our old codger!!
