That team wouldn't look out of place in the championship. However, we can still beat the scum.

Why? Is that an excellent Premier division side? No, it isn't. And are Brighton scum? Yes. Think what you like.

Think it looks decent.
Shocked that Roy didn’t take his chance to put Luka back in.
I think Schlupp has come in to try and stop their fullback (the one from Chelsea) getting forward.
Ayew must have a knock.
Good that Cahill is back.
Decent bench.

I will think what I like..!!

And I think no not excellent, we know that, but a very good/strong Premier side - yes

Other than maybe Eze don’t understand what else you were expecting to see..!!

Then beyond that look at the bench..!!

No pleasing some..!!!

Lamptey, although I’m surprised he is named as recently injured. Get stuck into him early and give him more defensive duties to worry about.

We must have different standards, we have Riedewald who's hardly played, Mitchell who's hardly played. Cahill just back from injury. Wilf injured but playing through it - we all know how that works out. Bats first proper game of the season. Schlupp just back from injury. Kouyate ok at Centre back but still new to it in the Premier League.
I was expecting to see something of new signings - which didn't actually happen as they are either injured or not deemed ready, or just basically don't exist. Brighton will have a much better line up than us today but there are areas where we will match them, plus I don't think they're anywhere near as good as people think. I call it flattering to deceive. I also think similar about much of our line up.
If you want answers about how it would be better - we could do with Tomkins being fit. We need Ferguson or Clyne to be ready, as Ward simply cannot play every match. We also now seem to be carrying our captain - which is worrying. We also know nothing about up front this season, last season we were often carried by Ayew. So there are huge areas of concern. For instance, look at Villa - much better quality throughout the side. Our side reminds me of Bournemouth and Watford from the last couple of years. But, yes, there will be worse teams than us. Hopefully Brighton today will be worse. It's not some are never happy. It's called some are realistic.
