But for some shocking finishing (and some good goal keeping) they'd have beaten us twice last season. Hopefully they'll be just as poor in front of goal this Saturday too. That Connolly is gaff but he might be injured anyway.

Brighton look better than last season and I wouldn't read too much into results given who they've played. However, they look vulnerable defensively, leaving big gaps in the middle of the park. If Zaha is up for it and Eze and Townsend are confident then we can win this, but I doubt it'll be easy.

I'm going for 2-1 to us. Eze off the mark and Zaha with his trademark Brighton goal

True, but a tricky one to call in my book. Brighton have had some tough fixtures and will be looking to go all out to impress. It's not an overly ambitious prediction but I'll go with the draw.

My worry is the unexpected results, but rather than a Brighton win will it be the turn of CPFC to get five?

don't forget quite a number of our players are on int'l duty this week. depends if any come back with injuries, tiredness etc plus a week without training together, must be tough for managers and coaches to get a team ready for league duty this week-end. mourinho is making waves about england playing kane this week. a draw would be good.

ps before any pedant remarks on it i had a slight accident spilling some liquid on my keyboard and for now i cant do capitals.

2 - 0 Palace. Their ticky tacky football will play right into our hands.

Defensively they are weaker than us (Other than our Chelsea Match) which gives me hope if we go for it. As we know Hodgson plays the same way whoever we play so I’m not hopeful :-(

I have to think a draw would suit both sides: 1 all. Atrocious decisions could mean anything though. Never has officiating been as bad as it is now, and it has never been any good. The season of random results so far.

I read a stat that we'd only finished lower than them once in the last 50 years or something...... and the year we finished lower than them we beat them in the play offs and got promoted.
