I might be wrong but I thought it was Flanagan's cross that Jim hit?

Shearer named roy wilf sackho and one other (?) in his team of the week. Given the number of goals and great performances over the weekend, time to give this Shearer bashing a rest?

Call me a miserable old b******, but for me it means we are ~23% towards theoretical safety after ~8% of our games

First game I've looked forward to in ages but my usual level of aprehension remains.

Hope we stick with the same starting line up again as Plan A has worked very well so far this season. Although, I think we may need to revert to a Plan B.

Southampton and Manchester United were both very poor, unprepared and pushed too high. I think Everton have prepared better for the season and James Rodriguez has the ability to unlock a compact defense.

They've beaten a Tottenham side that hammered Southampton, but they still conceeded twice vs WBA & they only beat a 10 men giving me some hope.

Pleased they are playing Fleetwood in the cup tonight which will hopefully impact their preparations. Glad we don't have to worry about a trip to Manchester City tomorrow.

I spoke to an Everton supporter, he can't see them winning 3 games in a row. Most likely result is a draw to match the previous 3 results at Selhurst.

We haven't beaten them at home since 1994. Surely that's got to change sometime.

Almost. We would've done had we beat Forest but drew 2-2.

Knowing the Palace of old we are certain to blow it, we always seem to when hope exceeds rational belief.

However, this old geezer will be delighted if we manage 3 wins in a row - especially after the fag end of last season which plunged me into despair and started all those Hodgson Must go threads.

I think every Palace fan would love us to be considered a 'serious PL team' with the uncommitted looking forward to seeing us play skilful attacking
football - we can but dream.

A long time ago and memories play tricks; so easy to put snippets from separate games together. However, I'm not sure Flanagan had even signed at that point. I'm sure we still had Swindlehurst.

Apart from Flanagan that’s a hell of a team.

I stand corrected. I see we had both Swindlehurst and Flanagan together. Memory is a funny thing.
