I can't see why we'd play Wilf.

The winner of this gets City...

Hennessey

Woods
Kouyate
Kelly
Mitchell

Townsend
Meyer
Luka
Eze
Ayew

Bats

Subs:
Pierrick
Sakho
Dann
McArthur
McCarthy
Henderson
Schlupp

Would not risk any probable first team players. Even the likes of Kelly as need back up in defence.

What side could we field out of unlikely prem players and those who didn't feature vs Welling?

I do see the case for giving Batshuayi, Eze and any other players in need if minutes an optimal amount of time for developing their match fitness. Ie perhaps a half.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

If Bats and Eze start alongside Meyer we might actually win this comfortably whether we want to or not. All three will be keen to try and earn a starting spot at United and I think they could link up well. Bournemouth will probably put out a weakened team with their focus likely to be on the league as well.

Also whoever wins will probably get a panning next round, so expect 2 very weakened teams tonight.

Good news:

As it currently stands, City play the next round on Thursday having played Wolves on Monday, with Leicester on the Sunday. Their team, therefore, could be the weakest team they put out all year.

Bad news:

If this is their A team: Ederson, Walker, Laporte, Garcia, Mendy, Rodrigo, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Sterling, Mahrez, Aguero.

This is their B team: Steffen, Cancelo, Stones, Otamendi, Ake, Fernandinho, Zinchenko, Foden, B. Silva, Torres, Jesus.

And, of course, we're being made to play on the Saturday vs Everton so we'll have to go weak. Given the comparative squads, we've been completely screwed being given one day between games when City get two.

Having renewed two season tickets with minimal chance of actually seeing a game I thought I might watch tonight's game only to find it costs £10. OK not a lot but it would have been a nice gesture to allow season ticket holders to watch it free.

It's on the EFL website and they get the £10 not Palace.

With the players listed for the game I presume it will be this:

Hennessey

Woods Kelly Innis Jach

Kirby Luka Meyer Eze

Bats Schlupp

Very inexperienced back four, but otherwise not a bad team. Would have like to have seen more youth on the bench. Be interesting to see how Schlupp gets on up top after playing there preseason (if indeed that's where he starts)

Oh dear that is the worst back four I can remember Palace putting out in a long long time.

If it helps, with everyone fit, I think only Kelly makes our C team. It's more a reflection of the strength of our physio room than our depth which is pretty solid.
