Maybe the bookies think Wilf will go.

If he did, and if nothing else changed, I'd happily take 4th bottom.

We ain't a one man team we have players now that would replace zaha now and if we lose wilf he would be replaced apparently

I so wanted Wilf sold last summer. Sadly he wasn’t, he then did naff all for us ALL season and we now won’t get anything near what we should for him in transfer fee.

Oh well, I still hope he goes as he may be trying for us now but we’ll soon see his true colours if he doesn’t get his move (and a big pay deal) before the transfer window closes.

It will also answer, once and for all, the question as to whether we’ll be relegated the first season after he’s sold (IMHO We won’t).

He wasn't at his best last season his worse season ever for him and we still stayed up without him playing at his best

The bookmakers and pundits are basing their odds / predictions on how we finished last season and you can’t blame them. Usually when a team finishes a season like we did they carry it on to the next season and get relegated. The difference is we are bringing in players to make sure that doesn’t happen, something we haven’t done for a long time. We’ll be fine.

Doesn't make a lot of sense as wide left is where Richarlison - arguably their best player - features. Still it is Everton

Correct.
Basing it on last year end of season results in our case is as wrong as it could be because:
1- we were safe and so played with flip flops and sunglasses
2- we had half a team injured which hopefully we will soon recover
3- we are addressing our long time weak points in the market

I doubt that. The last 3-4 transfer windows have been very badly done. And if Zaha leaves it's very much a big chance of it happening.

They tried inserting some youth in the squad this summer (Ferguson, Eze) but 17 million for a soon to be 23 Championship player who has had just 1 good season in his career and no fixed position is not solid building of a team.

We'll see. I am not optimistic.

I wish we were shorter to go down to make it worth laying on the exchange, or backing survival at bookies if odds better than the exchange.

Had we not got some new players I'd really fear for us this season. The play was abysmal just a few weeks ago. A couple of good signings and we seem to have our mojo back. A win over Saints, a bit of a bogey team, is a great start.

A win at ManU next and I'll be on cloud 9. Unlikely but you never know.

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.

sadly, due to our poor performance at the end of last season and our poor performance in the past few transfer windows we will always be favorites for the drop under our current ownership!
