We lost 1-0 to the better team from start to finish. Meyer looked average as did McCarthy. Henderson made a few decent saves but his distribution is seriously poor. It looked like a bore draw until we lost our first teamers and then it was inevitable that they scored.

Luka looked okay, was playing some good balls out from the back.

Kirby was the bright spark from the game, he looked much better than the rest of the midfield, Meyer included. He was going back to win the ball on the edge of our box and then trying to carry it up the pitch and push us forward.

Kelly was solid, good to get an hour in his legs.

Jach, he may have the worst first touch I have ever seen. How did we sign someone that bad.

Innis also nowhere near the first team level gave away 2 golden opportunities to them that they fluffed.

Woods looked solid, no fuss and no mistakes but he’s not a RB he is a CB.

I don’t know if I am being over critical but the back up players looked terrible. The defensive players were unable to control the ball and pass it effectively. Midfield was better and although Kirby was ok he did keep running around in circles but clearly there is something to build on . The front players including Meyer were totally ineffective. So for me a poor showing against Brentford B side. At least a couple of first teamers got some minutes in their legs. Illustrated why our 23 ,s season was poor. COYP

Hoping to see kirby on the bench against Saints, at least.
