Matt Clarke IMO one of the best goalkeepers this club has had. Played about a dozen games, picked up an injury, never played again, gutted.

He was brilliant but he was a crock before we signed him.

I think it was stated that there was a slight niggle when we signed him.

So why the f*** did we sign him?

Really? You have to have it explained? Sportspeople get injuries sometimes. Pretty much all of them. They tend to recover.

No, that doesn't have to be explained, and there's no call for sarcasm. But why spend £20m on someone with an injury? Would we have missed out on him if we'd waited for his (possible) recovery? Possibly, I suppose.

Unless its a really bad groin strain, which it probably isn't, he is a young man and will recover from it in a few days or at worse a week or so. No stress really and given his history and the number of games played the last couple of years it doesn't look like he is another Conor Wickham.

So both signings, Eze and Ferguson, are injured. I know these things happen, but as we already have the equivalent of a small hospital's worth of the infirm this is hard to swallow.
