I doubt it! What bugs me is that everyone involved in the game has to distance themselves from football betting. Players past and present have had their lives ruined by gambling. The UK based firms have to restrict when they can advertise on TV yet far Eastern on line betting sponsors more clubs than anything else.

Gambling can ruin lives yet clubs like ours are happy to take what I think is dirty money.

If you're going to go along the lines of dirty money, then the list is endless. For example, women work 12 hour shifts in Puma's factory in Cambodia knocking out our replica shirts for around 27 quid a week, so that a footballer can endorse it for a million pounds a year. That's the way of the world I'm afraid.

Not that I've bought a shirt in 20 odd years, but you don't even have the option (to the best of my knowledge) to purchase a shirt without the logo on?
My guess there will be some sort of provision on kids shirts not to have a betting logo on their shirts.

If the shirt, without a sponsor was 10 quid more, would ya buy it?

I would, all day, every day...

These companies don't care about the fans shirts... it's about their logo being plastered around the ground and on tv screens... so why not sell shirts without the logo?

Funny that members of this forum object to a betting company. Hypocrites.

Why do you say that? I gamble but I don't like having shirt sponsors that are bookies we allow far to much gambling advertising in this country. I don't call that hypocritical some of us just think the club should be careful about who are sponsors are.

Because that's exactly what the sponsor pays millions for - to have their logo publicised on every shirt.

You really think research shows that blokes down the pub, or doing the weekly shop or kids in the park is a better advertising strategy than on tv each week, back of the news and amongst the match day experience... c'mon now.

I would have thought that with our elderly manager and old squad Age Concern would agree to be our main sponsor.
