If we played with a higher tempo and not dropped behind the ball in 'Shape' this might greatly assist him.Furthermore an attacking left-back might well create space for him.

A left back who can defend might greatly assist him in the freedom to attack instead of always having to be aware of his defensive duties .
I really cant believe the negative comments on here about the guy who without we would be biting fingernails

A mistake by Guaita for their goal.If Hennessey had made a similar 'Faux Pas' he would have been hung, drawn and quartered on here.

Hennessey regularly makes those error's, any criticism is well deserved, Guaita should have done better but, he's dug us out on many occasions, a blip every Blue Moon is neither here nor there to be honest.

he has been playing at 50% all season - yesterday was no worse than usual.

Receiving the ball standing still is clearly not helping, makes it difficult to beat a defender and easier to double up on him.

However, his movement is woeful, very static and when we attack on the right he doesn't even try and get in the box.

Why doesn't he change wing occasionally too - only happens due to sub, should be happening during game?
Needs to get closer to Ayew too - poor bloke was so isolated yet again

It is the manager who decides on a change of position.I was calling for this even before he actually did go out to the right.

In the second half, Burnley were playing with a 'Low block' but we don't have the creativity in midfield to cause problems through the middle.
With 15 mins to go with Burnley sitting back I would have thrown one of the central defenders up front and got crosses in to the box.

He has performed with aplomb for us but his error was costly last night and he didn't look comfortable all game with his kicking particularly poor.
He of course made a costly error to give Sheff Utd all the points earlier in the season.

From back to front rubbish and deserved what they got and to single out Zaha is wrong.

This.
All were dreadfully poor all night long. I can't think of any player that played particularily well.
no one had any kind of first touch, no width, full backs weren't overlapping, Zaha for all his faults was marked out of the Game - but you'd still normally expect him to get free and do something, and he didn't do that.
Guaita made an unusual error.
Our 2 center backs were our two best players, in the fact that they didn't actually give Burnley that much.
Zaha was not the only one to blame.

Burnley only had 1 forward, Vydra who has not been a regular this season and who has only scored 2 goals this campaign.
Wood,Barnes and Rodriguez were all missing.

With the players around him Wilf will not shine for us or anyone.
He needs a better team otherwise he just gets marked out of games.
The others are not clever enough for him in my opinion hence he holds on to the ball for too long.
We have to let him go even if only for a reasonable fee as we need to start rebuilding very soon and we have to play without him one day so why not now.

And Burnley didn't sign Ronaldo or Neymar, so they didn't play either!

I'm not going to criticise a player for playing badly against players that weren't on the pitch, when in actuality they played OK against the players that were.

you can only deal with whats put in front of you, and they still didn't give their forward(s) much.

I accept your final point, however I was just trying to point out that Burnley only had 1 forward who has not been a regular this season and only scored 2 goals so our central defenders never had to face the likes of Wood,Barnes or Rodriguez who might have given them far greater problems.

Zaha's been poor all season. Seems to have lost a yard of pace and has been unwilling to take on defenders. The ball is passed to him and he just passes it back again. Last season we had I think 12 pens, mostly for fouls on Zaha. This time we have had I think 3, which shows just how little he is getting into dangerous positions. Now whether that is Zaha's fault, or whether he is under instructions from Hodgson, we don't know, but either way 3 goals and 3 assists is not good enough for someone who thinks he's good enough to play in the CL and demand a £70/80m fee and exorbitant wages to match.

I've not heard Wilf "demand" a £70-80m fee. If anything, he would probably want the fee to be a lot less to create some demand. We don't know his wage "demands" either and what is the definition of "exorbitant" these days? I think to paint him as money grabbing mercenary is just wrong.

All in all, he has been a fantastic player for Palace. I think that he is good enough to play for a CL side. I will hugely miss him don't begrudge him a go at the big time. He will never win anything with us.

I concur with these sentiments.
I too don't begrudge him a move to a bigger club that has real prospects of winning silverware.
In terms of £70-80 Mill, I really believe this is 'Cloud cuckoo land'.
