Without some serious investment in the squad European football does not appeal to me. We struggle to put one decent side out every week.

No way would I want Europa League football. Getting to the group stages would mean playing Thursday then Sunday, against teams no one has heard of, in front of a half empty Selhurst Park.

We simply dont have the squad like Wolves, to be able to cope with European football.

Wow. I understand the fears, but who wouldn't want European footy? Bonkers. This would be a milestone in our history. And why wouldnt we aspire to be in a similar position to Wolves? I'd risk it either way. The PL is a very sterile place without aspirations or development off the pitch. Academy aside, the ground is not moving forward and nothing else is either. I want to see us in Europe, 100%.

1/6/2010.a new era.we made it everyone!!!lets get the ball rolling for another 105 years of proud history.thank you cpfc2010.

The return was 25/7/98 0-2, i was one of 48 official fans there that night. I would say 95% of our fans have NEVER witnessed European Football either at SP or away, i dont include pre-season friendlies.

Ok, maybe so, 20 years ago this was a big thing, yes, TV used 2nd teamers & a few kids coz he wern't interested in it, shame really, could've given some 1st teamers some euro experience. Whilst i agree that a 'euro' adventure would at the end of this season, would not be ideal, the experience it would give to players, would be beneficial to the whole squad.

Dont forget the buzz that the fans would get if they were able to travel to the away game(s), if nothing else, just to say, 'They were there'.

As to max points. yeah 49 last season.

Dare we start thinking about Europe ? 7th spot would do it, with Leicester, Man City, Chelski and ManUtd still in the FA cup.

49 points. The same number we achieved in 1992/3 and were relegated!
