My 89 year old mother-in-law who has never shown any interest in football, came to an open pre-season training day just to see Kayla. Unfortunately didn’t make an appearance and FDB didn’t have the same effect! She is now an ardent follower of Palace and tunes into Final Score every week.

Kayla was a great advert for the club and did a great PR job, posing for pics with thousands of people outside the Main Stand plus her flying on match days, one thing I did notice was that she appeared to hate water, when the sprinklers were on she avoided them and often landed on the pitch short of her handler at the far end of the ground. RIP Kayla you gave us all lots of enjoyment.
