Time for Jach to step up to the plate.

Jach started off this curtailed season playing 3 games for a Moldovian club in the Europa League.
He then went on to play 18 games for a Polish team that were in mid-table when the season was brought to a halt.

Thanks, Willo. A Palace player in European competition (i.e. Europa League). A rarity indeed!

You are most welcome.

Sorloth has played 8 games for Trabzonspor in the Europa League this season.

Come the final reckoning, it would be interesting to know (not that we ever shall) how much he has cost the club per match played.

A tidy sum, I'll wager.

Got to be over 1 million pounds a game!!!!

He has played around 65 games for us since he joined on loan in January 2017. His loan fee was £2 Mill and his transfer fee was £26 Mill.
He hasn't cost us £65 Mill thus far in transfer fee and wages.

was doing a bit of non-scientific number crunching myself and arrived at the conclusion that this was not a good bit of business from us. Paid over the odds, which we're quite good at when Liverpool is concerned.

Agree, but its easy to forget what a clamour there was to sign him, after his very impressive loan spell. He definitely provided some class to the defence and I long recall his role in the win at Man City. However, he was certainly very casual at times and, as others have said, injury prone. I guess one of the issues was that he was keen to join - not always easy for a club in Palace's position to attract such an experienced and classy player. As far as I know, he also caused no problems off the pitch - unlike the issues at Liverpool.

£10m and something around 6 figures off the weekly wage is a good deal. That package buys you any centre half currently in the championship with change, and a fair few in the Prem. Should be good value in Europe this summer too.

Trading in for a solid centre half 7 years younger, not as injury prone, and making money is smart business.

On his day, possibly the most gifted centre half to have ever played for the club. Just a shame he hasn't ever really got the run of games in.

Dael Fry, in his early 20s, plays in the Championship, for Middlesbrough. They value him at £20 Mill.
He can also plough his furrow at right-back.

time to cash in - he cost us what, 30 mil? We get back 10, that was a 20 mil investment to stay in the league, which he played a large part of. Wages, however, crazy high.

I feel like we now are in a good space, to invest wisely and see rewards from that, however, I don't have faith we will do that.
