when they show him back in the '97 semi final for Chesterfield v Boro he looks exactly the same as he does now, he's more 4-4-2 than Roy is, splinters!

He wouldn't like Wilf winning all those penalties.

**allegedly** that said It something I noticed a few months back as well.

Is red a colour? Or is Dyche classed as White?

His favourite game show is Bullseye and he once came second in 'It's a Knockout', losing narrowly to Prince Edward.

Hard working, generally white English (hardly dare say that but I have) journeymen come good kind of players in a tight, direct, physical system where the roles are clear.
I don't see Dyche getting much out of players like Zaha or Townsend or Meyer. A few of the older ones do fit his profile.
However, Palace like a bit of thrill and flair with a few dodgy decisions thrown in (from our players as much as anything else). We like to skirt with relegation and bankruptcy twice a year and all I can see Dyche doing is going apesh1t and having a heart attack with us. He would fit in at Wolves or Bournemouth but not here.
Plus, basically too northern (Sorry Sir Steve).

Was born and grew up in Kettering, which isn’t far enough north to be racing pigeons and whippets.

That’s the beauty of the midlands. You’re equally at home being classified as neither northern or southern.

That said Kettering is a s***hole.

I remember Kettering Town away days alright and having snooker balls and bottles thrown at me - so agree on the sh1t hole. If you're from London, it's northern enough.

Im not sure about him as a Palace boss to be honest . He has found his niche with Burnley and good luck to them for that .
We need to find our own man not someone else's

Freedman has proved he is not up to it in his stints at both Bolton and Forest. If he was to ever take the Palace job again there would be a double edged sword. If he does badly (like I'd expect) it would be an expensive mistake. If it went well, with someone like Freedman he has proved he would jump ship the split second another club offered him .50p a week more so, again, it would be a mistake that would leave us rudderless.
For me, he's had his chance at Palace and I wouldn't want to see him get another one. I don't think he even does anything much in the role he is in now!

I believe Freedman would emulate Roy's style. I seem to remember us being pretty similar with him in regards to our tactics. Not sure he would get us the results though - as you say - which I guess says something about having a well-regarded manager. Freedman was good with what we had in the Championship, but the way he left was rubbish and should really have precluded any return. Maybe I'm wrong about the tactics but the more I think about it - they seem eerily similar.

Dyche is Coppell to a tee, if you like Coppell you like Dyche he is 4-4-2 as Coppell, direct hard working, like Coppell, in my opinion the perfect manager to have when Wilf leaves, probably to Newcastle, they will be throwing money at everything.

Also, Wilfs fee would probably pay for, McNeil, Tarkowski, and Dyche, its called reality.
