It would certainly be a significant improvement but to my mind a "Major transformation" of the ground would be upgrades to some or all of the other stands which of course have not been included in the plans. Having said that, Brighton don't have the same competition from having other clubs situated nearby that Millwall have, and indeed Palace.

As for Palace, I do believe that we need to upgrade Selhurst Park sooner rather than later as we are increasingly looking a bit antiquated as a club and I worry that it will affect the calibre of coach/manager and players that we will be able to attract.

With Millwall being the closest club to the City of London, the popularity of football increasing, and transport improvements leading to gentrification of the area they may be the ideal London club to invest in. A shiny new stadium could promote a shiny new image and attract more city types. With the east London line, bakerloo line extension and crossrail all serving south-east London they could start to attract a lot more supporters. Although, I suspect they've taken a leaf out of Parishes book and done this for attention.

With Millwall being the closest club to the City of London, the popularity of football increasing, and transport improvements leading to gentrification of the area they may be the ideal London club to invest in.

A shiny new stadium could promote a shiny new image and attract more city types.

With the east London line, bakerloo line extension and crossrail all serving south-east London they could start to attract a lot more supporters.

Although, I suspect they've taken a leaf out of Parishes book and done this for attention.
