I refer you to my post on Page 25 (8:22) of the post-Southampton game thread. Statistically we must be at the bottom of the ‘attempts’ league. We may not be blessed players who can bang them in like Andros’s ‘worldie’, but I bet they all try in training and, as mentioned in previous post, we pass up too many opportunities to have a pop, Saints proved the point last week.!

Can’t believe there are as many posts here from fans who don’t want long shots. God help us all. Why? One of the most exciting things in football. Won’t be long now before the game strangles itself. I remember when Mourinho said football is not about goals.
I’m clearly losing it. I would love bigger goalposts so MORE goals are scored. Give me high scoring games anyday over the current 1-0s.
10-5 with 10 goals outside the area. Brilliant.
Football is becoming boring.

Over her shoulder and into the bag of crisps or popcorn for during the hired video film? In your pint?

Football has become boring. If the possession isn’t balanced it’s shyte.

Bobby Charlton said when he went to Man U he was told if you have 10 shots in a game and nine pepper the crowd but one goes in what will people remember?
Wasn’t one of Sako’s supposed strengths the fact that he could hammer shots in? Unless he was going to do it from five yards that seems a bit pointless.

Shots on target need saves, they can create mayhem in a defence with rebounds etc.
I am all for them - give it a whack!

John "Yogi" Hughes, Colin Taylor, Cliff Holton. The safest place to stand was right behind the goal because those three could really hit a ball and if it missed the goal watch out. Ct once scored a screamer from 40 yars out against Leeds.

When De Gea first came to Man Utd he used to be beaten by shots from distance and there was a suggestion that he came to the club with an eye problem - I believe he wears contacts when he is playing.
