I refer you to my post on Page 25 (8:22) of the post-Southampton game thread. Statistically we must be at the bottom of the ‘attempts’ league. We may not be blessed players who can bang them in like Andros’s ‘worldie’, but I bet they all try in training and, as mentioned in previous post, we pass up too many opportunities to have a pop, Saints proved the point last week.! “In football, everything is complicated by the presence of the opposite team”. Jean-Paul Satre 😀

Can’t believe there are as many posts here from fans who don’t want long shots. God help us all. Why? One of the most exciting things in football. Won’t be long now before the game strangles itself. I remember when Mourinho said football is not about goals. Edited by dreamwaverider (25 Jan 2020 8.43am)

Shots on target need saves, they can create mayhem in a defence with rebounds etc.

John "Yogi" Hughes, Colin Taylor, Cliff Holton. The safest place to stand was right behind the goal because those three could really hit a ball and if it missed the goal watch out. Ct once scored a screamer from 40 yars out against Leeds.
