Looking at the remaining fixtures I think we'll finish on 43 points, that's allowing for defeats against city, United, pool, Chelsea, Spurs and Leicester. So from the remaining 10 games we'll pick up 14 points which I think is easily achievable. This is worst case scenario imo. Best case scenario we'll pick up 4 points against the so called big clubs and a few more against the other teams which would bring us close to 50 points. Either way I'll be happy and well done Roy and all the players and staff.

Based on current points per game (29 from 22) that would gives us 50 from 38

The outcome of this window for us and the clubs below us is, this season, more crucial than ever to the final outcome.

Roy has a very good record with us against teams below us in the table, with I think only Newcastle beating us. Even with a hugely depleted squad he has ensured we have picked up at least a point in recent games. If we sign a new right-back and get players back - especially Andros - then I can see us turning draws into wins and doing well in the second half of the season and getting close to 50 points. While teams below us have had good games, many look defensively frail and lacking in real quality. We have a very experienced squad who do not seem to lose their heads (Spurs game aside) and an ability to turn games around. I predicted we'd finish 10th or 11th at the beginning of the season and I'm sticking to that. Edited by taylors lovechild (13 Jan 2020 1.12pm)
