Agreed we are not that entertaining but with limited resources Hodgson has steered us to 9th in the table on the back of organisation and discipline and he has kept us in the PL using the same tactics without much backing in the transfer market.Hodgson's objective is to keep us in the PL and he will feel that the end justifies the means.Norwich play an expansive game and can be entertaining at home but they concede goals and are rock bottom.

i agree to a point but whats in it for the fans 9th in the league but no goals and no intention of trying anything different. i really hope parish dosent give roy any money this window were crying out for a creative midfielder but that will be the last thing on roys mind

Looks like you've given up on both Palace and punctuation.

By the sounds of things I am just as frustrated as others with us being the least threatening team in the country but I would only condone Roy moving on if we were to invest in the playing staff and that's not going to happen.

That said was there any harm in giving Daly/Kirby/Camarasa a run out yesterday at least?

Oh comma on. How about it result in apostrophe?

Good post. This is my 36th year of having a season ticket and I don't think I've ever been so bored as watching us this season. Every game is the same - we just sit back and let teams attack us - all except in the last 15 mins when Roy realises we're losing and lets us attack and then we actually look OK. We don't press teams, nobody risks having a shot from distance and subs are always like for like. I see that Roy wants 2 strikers and 2 full-backs - yet the striker we are linked with is Tosun - another failure at this level. We already have PL failures on crazy contracts - we don't need another. In any case, as someone else implied, we could sign Kane and Aguero and they wouldn't score for us because we don't create anything. Corners are a joke; we've scored I think 9 goals in 12 home league and cup games, and we've scopred 2 goals in open play in the first half in 23 games this season. Sorry, but Roy must go.

Bitterly disappointing today.

Ive noticed this too. Nobody is ever trying to make a run behind and beat the offside with a well timed pass. We just seem to want to progress down the wings with one twos and then (try) and cut it back or when its Zaha dribble into the box get fouled and win a penalty.
Its all getting very predictable.

The players are in their comfort zones, on nice contracts for silly money. The play is slow and sluggish, fitness levels are suspect, injuries far too many.
Total overhaul required.

Yes players are tired, but teams like Derby are playing the same amount of games.

Time for Plan B & Plan C..

We’ve got an ageing squad that lacks investment and very few players who are able to travel quickly with the ball or maybe go past a player. Those that can ie Zaha, PVA, Townsend, even Schlupp are injured. Roy’s brought Pierrick in to try and address this.

The players aren’t there to have a decent plan A at the moment let alone B or C.

Palace, are not the best watch in the premier , but they are effective, 28 pts with their thin unbalanced squad is quiet an achievement .
They have probably over achieved ever since Roy, took the job. Last year it was clear the all round depth of the squad was not great, after a clear out , that squad was in need of all round improvement. What it got was anything but. A worthwhile addition to central defence, and some cover for midfield, part of which was wasted money.
The best team option Roy, has, couldn’t play its way into the top six
Under any manager, top ten maybe. But with no fullbacks, no regular scorer, and several of the best players injured, no one would want the job. Yes it’s now a hard watch, but blame the board , they haven’t given the right support to Roy, if it wasn’t his boyhood club, and probably his last big job, he probably would have done the same as previous managers, here and walked,. And who could blame him?
If he did go ,and the support from the board didn’t change, then it is the Championship, see how boring that can get in the bottom half . This is a real threat, as if it wasn’t for Roy’s organisation of what he has been left with, we are prime meat for the second tier.

Me included in that. 550 quid to watch the dross at hime this season. Worse than last year, even if we have a Slightly better points tally.
Unfortunately the premier league is what most fans want, and without the personal available, we aet out every game to not lose.
Saying that the standard of the league has gone down, hence our current position.
Liverpool at home has been the only match that I feel we actually had a proper go at our opposition.
Let's see what happens.
