How on earth will selling Guita help us? We need to start re-building this squad, can someone go and wake Dougie up!!

Deserves a few more quid though, don't you think? Who knows. We don't know how much he pocketed as a signing on fee for starters

If Man City really are interested in Guaita, is he going to turn them down? As a bench-sitting no 2 stopper Vincente would get game time in the cups and should Ederson get a serious injury...

I'd argue he's been more valuable to us this season than Wilf. Don't sell him as far as I'm concerned. I genuinely think with Hennessey in goal this season, we'd be flirting with the relegation zone right now. Total tosh. VG has been immense this season and rightly holds number one spot. But Hennessy is a decent PL keeper and kept us in games single handedly at times too.

VG has about 3/4 years of top level football left, I doubt very much he would want to spend his prime as a substitute keeper regardless of the club. He also seems to love it at Palace, which is always a positive (unlike that little b1tch Mandanda) . He's going nowhere.

If Norwich had him rather than Krul they would be in a far better situation. Probably too late now though Newcastle or Bournemouth could be interested.

Last season Hennessey started in goal from first game until Leicester. In those 16 league games we lost 10 games, drew 3 and won 3. Guaita came in from Leicester and played 20 games. We lost 6, drew 4 and won 10. This season we have been ravaged by injuries, scored only 19 goals in 21 games and yet we still have 28 points. Guaita is an absolutely massive part of that. You can tell me it's tosh all you want, but I still firmly believe with Wayne in goal we'd be about 10 points worse off this season.

Last season 1st 16 games with Hennesey goals against 21. Just one goal difference between them and yet you attribute the early season losses down to Hennessey. What that tells me is that the defensive record is equal but the attack much better after those first 16 games. Explain why Watford, just a few games ago were bottom of the league when they have the best keeper in the league in their goal namely Ben Foster. League position is not always down to the keeper.

I don't think its "tosh" at all. I remember being at the Man city away game and the confidence Guita generates was very visible that day. It has certainly carried on into this season and you can see the confidence the defence has in him. Just look at Norwich yesterday - he was the difference between getting a draw or losing. For a free transfer, he is an incredibly good signing and all credit to those who identified him and then got the deal over the line.
