This spell in the Premier League will only be worth it if we sort these things. Otherwise what is the point? The ground is a massive concern in my view....Selhurst is important in lots of ways but forgive me..the phrase, 'lipstick on a pig' comes to mind over structural investment....I hope I'm proved wrong. However, investment in the academy is happening as it's something that pure money can solve....Well, the kind of money we have I should add. Because for most things, ultimately it comes down to how large your pockets are. We are a significantly bigger club than we were ten years ago.....and that's a positive. We have spent diddly squat over the last two years and yet are two points off a European spot having played all but one of the so-called big teams and still have (possibly) as much as £50m in the bank to play with in January; plus our best player hasn't even woken up yet.

Get the ball moving forward more than moving side to side or back; make the opposition keeper work for his pay.

CPFC are in the PL and doing very well indeed, get Liverpool over and then concentrate on the points total. Looks like the academy is in good hands and RH is looking at a new deal which will help secure our PL status.

Roy is good at doing a bit better than par and we have games coming up where we have a chance
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

The ground is not an attractive one and in order to attract investors and up and coming talent it needs to be somewhat attractive, too much talk and no action lol Hodgson is a brilliant organiser and gets the very best out of his players, I'm very positive with that. I’ll go first. Our 3 best players this year imo, Cahill, Ayew, Guaita, only cost a couple of million between them. Agree with all 3 of those. For all Ayew's hard work is it not a sign of the times that we are having to rely on him for goals.. 10+ for the season will be a good return. For me he really needs someone up there with him, I know no one plays two up top anymore but hes actually very good at retaining the ball and bringing others into play. Really Benteke or Sorloth should have been ideal.

If the midfield choice that Hodgson prefers weren't so lumbering / lumbered with defensive duties, then an attacking minded midfield player would be ideal.

Hoping against all hope or common sense we will beat Liverpool on Saturday - like Man City last year it would be the unlikely sensation of the season. Unfortunately I can see only a 'rabbit in the headlights' reaction unless we try something totally different - like a creative midfield that would see Zaha and Ayew's runs But it won't happen if we play our usual 'keep them out' style (which every team knows about) A useless strategy if we keep on giving the ball away when we get it. Sorry to put a damper on this thread.
