If he continues with this midfield set up for much longer I’ll go spare. Thing is it’s so obvious that we lack any creative outlet. 3 cloggers in midfield. Even Jimmy Mac couldn’t pass today.

Many make the assumption that players like Meyer and Camarasa are not good enough because, in the case of Meyer, he has not really impressed to date or because they maybe have not shown in training.
My problem with Roy is he tries to shoehorn players to his system and then jettisons them if he believes they don’t fit the mould.
I heard an interview with Pulis (boo, hiss!) where he said his policy was to look at the players available at Palace and then devise a way to play that would suit them.
This surely is a sensible and practical approach.
Roy’s methods means he sometimes uses square pegs in round holes e.g Mcarthur on right of midfield, Schlupp in central midfield or the immobile Benteke as a lone front man with no crosses to attack.
I know Roy is vastly more experienced than me, but as a football watcher of many years I can’t understand this

Today Chelsea took us to the cleaners, it's going to happen a few more times this season, they simply made us play the way we looked today.

I agree with you on this completely. Roy has a system and he doesn’t move from that no matter what. He is like a robot. It is painful for us fans but I honestly believe that if he wasn’t in charge right now we would be in the championship. I am willing to stick it out in the hope that we can get some more quality players in and progress.

We all have to remember that a couple of weeks ago we were delighted with our league position.
Every fan is different but I just want us to stay up in the hope that we can sort out the stadium and get some better players in and if that means suffering in the short term then I am willing to do it.

12 games in and we have scored 10 goals, even bottom club Norwich have more.

3 were pens and 1 an OG - so we have scored 6 in open play in 12 games - 13 if you include the Cup against Colchester.

Defending is and always has been the deciding factor.

Did we score against Colchester? I was at the game, can’t remember us scoring.

Roy’s been good for us. I’m torn with him. Today was awful. Couldn’t pass to each other, it’s all so negative. It doesn’t matter what the game is or who it is against Roy will always do what he always does. Same predictable, boring set up and team. You just knew he’d bring McCarthy and Schlupp on. How on earth did he think either of those two are going to get us back in the game. When we are chasing the game at least have a go and stick Benteke on. The only attack minded player we had on the bench today was Benteke.. both max and camarasa left at home. That’s all you need to know about Roy’s thoughts on the game of football.

You have to ask yourself, what’s the point in even thinking about transfers in January, who actually believes he’d play any of them anyway. This is the bit where Roy will always be the safe bet for Parish. The team has been underinvested in for so long now that Roys the safest pair of hands and willing to work under the constraints. It’s bloody boring though and next season I want a new direction.

Really?? that’s more of a worry than the performance, with a lot of Chelsea in laws I’m embarrassed by that performance.
