Sakho was an absolute beast when he first came to the club and was one of the best CBs we've ever had, but hasn't been so impressive since his injuries and probably won't be the player he once was. Let's hope the same doesn't apply to Tomkins.

Right now Cahill is the best without question. His partner will be Tomkins or Sakho depending on who recovers best, but right now we really have no way of knowing how good they still are.

This..!!

Shame we don't have a right back to play wing back - then could look at playing 3 at the back with these three if fit and wing backs.

Although don't think Roy would go for it..!!

Whatever we as someone's said very lucky to have such a quality group of centre backs - think they will be the defining difference for us this year because as we all know the other end of the pitch is a different story..!!

I feel sorry for Kelly as he has done nothing wrong but as soon as Sakho and Tomkins are back fit he will be back to the bench.

Cahill and Tomkins would be my first choice pairing but Roy will go with Cahill and Sakho because of Mamas left foot.

A fully fit Sakho is still top of the list for me. His ability to find a player with a 40 yard ground pass through traffic is what sets him apart. It is hard to relax when he plays though. Based on everyone being 100% match fit my list would go:

Sakho
Cahill
Tomkins
Kelly
Dann

To be honest though, any combination of those four is plenty good enough for the PL.

This for me too. Some of y'all have short memories. Mama has been incredible for us for two seasons. ish. Cahill has had a handful of decent games. (Don't get me wrong - bloody impressive.)

Same list as above for me.

Slightly off topic, but am I the only one missing Scott Dann's contribution at corners?

We used to be pretty dangerous at corners when he was regularly in the team, nowadays I don't get too excited when we get one. I liked the moniker 'Scott Dann - Goal Machine'. Or was it just my mate and me using that expression?

But back on topic... We were definitely lucky to get Cahill (fortress Selhurst is surely linked?) and Sakho has contributed to quite a few of our goals since his arrival with some great incisive forward balls.

Cahill
Sakho
Tomkins
Kelly
Dann

Pains me to put Scotty at the bottom, but the others are all doing so well.

Cahill/Kelly hold the positions at present.

They need to keep performing knowing that Tomkins, Sakho and Dann are waiting if they don't.

Good place for us to be.

Shame it can't be said for the forward position. Ayew has has that nailed down, let's hope he doesn't stop performing.

Cahill’s been immense...such a great bit of business.

Sakho’s been more Unpredictable this year but when he’s at his best he is a top top defender...he comes good again we’ll have a great cb pair
