Victor Moses had a decent go.

The last Palace player to produce an effective throw in was Bobby Woodruff. Anyone who was around at the time (about 2000, I think) must remember Richard Harris. I saw Woodruff but I don't think he could throw as far as Harris. I recall him playing in, I think, the last game of the season, and the roar of encouragement and excitement that went up every time we had a throw in the opposition half. Memories play tricks but I could swear that one of his throws was still on an upward trajectory as it passed over the penalty spot. Unfortunately, he didn't make the grade, and that was the last we saw of him.

I believe it was goalkeeper Boaz Myhill who kicked the ball out for a corner rather than a throw-in because Delap was in the opposition team !

Great story - I'd love it to be true. Just seen this : One of my favourite sights in football was when a goalkeeper deliberately put the ball out for a corner rather than a throw-in to avoid Delap.

Our throw ins are nearly as awful as our short corner routines.

What about the hot dogs ? Just because a throw in isn't bombed around the goalkeeper's ears doesn't mean it's sh1t.
