There have been a few complications this year but 9 months is a long time (I have been involved in about 40 year ends). It is not usually down to the board but in this case it probably is and if we can put the blame on Tekkers as to our current oosition then we can most definitely put this down to either the FD who should have been reporting monthly or the Financial controller or the auditors but I think SP and the other board members shoulder the blame.
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

It is law that a company must submit it's accounts to Companies House within nine months of it's year end so hardly a case of making mountains out of molehills and if companies of the size and complexity of Barclays Bank can get their accounts prepared, audited and filed within four months of their year end there is something amiss at CPFC 2010 Ltd Loads of companies miss the deadline. It’s not a biggy. The tiny fine is an indication of how important this is. If it would cost more than an extra 100 to be on time then the fine is money well spent.

However anyone wants to minimise this issue, it does reflect the running of the company.

There is now an "Active proposal to strike off" in relation to our failure to file accounts, despite warnings: What this means is explained here: We would be struck off the Companies House register and the company would cease to exist. Creditors do get the opportunity to object and HMRC usually do apparently.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Cash up front and in full I'd guess. I've just been trying to raise credit cover on a company which has been rejected as the accounts are overdue and that means they couldn't raise the stock finance that they wanted. Those that say it's no biggie are wrong as it's a sign to the outside world that something is not quite right behind the scenes

It can be quite common for a company who's accounts don't look great but are expecting improved results the following year to hold of filing the accounts until the subsequent years accounts are ready to file and then file both together
