You obviously don’t know the history between Southgate and Zaha.

Given this approach I am not sure Wilf’s the only player Eng-Err-Land have let slip. That said if Scott McTominwho? really wanted to play for England he’d have replied to the text. As for Wilf England were a few months too late and The Ivory Coast management (like the Scots in the article) made the right moves to bring him “home.”

I sometimes wonder if our policy for signing people shouldn’t suffer from the same effort?

Unfortunately this is the tip of the iceberg as far as speculation about Wilfs future. I expect once the seasons over the press will be churning out stories on a regular basis on all the top premier clubs that are after his signature. Hopefully his last unsuccessful trip up to man u and the fact that he has a young family will keep him at Selhurst.

Or incidentally an appearance as a sub...... I don't think he would play himself in the Man City team tbh however brilliant he is for us.

Or, incidentally, Premier League winner medal, FA Cup Winner medal, League Cup winner medal, Europa Cup winner medal, Champions Cup winner medal, and more...

Quite happy to say that I was completely wrong about this but two or three years back when we were struggling to beat teams who sat deep and closed down the space behind the defence I wouldn't blame England for not picking him. He was amazing running at isolated full back with half a pitch to run into but you are not going to get that With England, most teams set back and defend
He has developed so much since then got stronger and even better at taking people on from a standing start and making space for himself.
What I love about wilf this year has been his ability to learn and to get even better a day the responsibility he takes

I don't really care what national team he plays for...as long as he remains "true red & blue"!

England have missed out.

Let's hope all the other clubs in England do too and wilf stays at Palace.

Wondering what it will take for Wilf to want to be a Palace player at the start of next season. If he goes to a club with loads of top players, it's going to be that much harder for nasty little sides to target him.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

Really hope Wilf doesn't go to Mancs City or anyone else for that matter.....he won't be any happier elsewhere ....he's loved at Palace and money shouldn't be an issue as he's probably the highest paid player at the moment...if necessary pay him a bit more......
