Still wear mine and bought a new original M65 Parka a few years ago. Though I do miss my leather hunter jacket and waffle knit jumper.

Waffle was a mad thing back in the day, kids at school wearing waffle trousers, waffle jumpers and waffle ties.

Once bought a blue velvet jacket and some cream platform shoes in 'Petticoat Lane'. Remember seeing our former defenfer Iain Philip over there.

Had a very good quality sheepskin.
cost well over a ton even around '1978.
looked smart with sta-press trousers & no.2 haircut.

Farah slacks(worn too tight) burgundy with grey shoes with the bar across them , completed with a grey silk shirt & Gabbicci cardigan or a pringle V neck.

A pair of black leather trousers earned me a strip search for my trouble at Gatwick.

Prefer pretty conservative stuff now-loafers, ted baker sports jacket, dark jeans or plain navy strides.
Have a bit of a weakness for Thomas pink overcoats

Excuse my ignorance.
Are these pink overcoats made by Thomas or overcoats made by 'Thomas Pink' ?

When you get to my age and beyond, 'Retro clothes and fashion' means just 'Clothes'

Joking apart, my Mum marched me in to the Co-op in Dartford and I ended up being bought a pair of light blue Crimplene trousers. The bloke serving us was only about a year older than me (you could leave school at 15) and he said something like "they look great - you'll be pulling all the girls if you wear those!". He was taking the p*ss of course. I wanted to die.

And it was plural so he obviously had more than one of these pink overcoats

Same DM's for 30 years - brown pair - had a black pair too, bought at the same time, but they didn't last, I got the brown ones on now.

I went into the Dr Marten store at Union Sq in NYC, I have to say their shoes now look poor quality. I had a pair of steel toe capped brogue type which I bought at Johnson's (I think) on Carnaby St & they lasted over 20 years..
