Wickham is not a quick healer. You can mostly add 50% to his recovery time than most other players. I know this particular injury is serious but i doubt we will see him before the spring if at all. Hes another Remy

He's in the 25 (24) man squad, so I assume there's at least a slight chance he'll be back before the new year.

There is no chance he will play this year, but as we don't have 25 players anyway there is nothing to be gained from not naming him.

Why is he in the squad if he's not going to be back before January? You don't have to name a player in the 25 if he's got a long term injury or so I thought. I can only assume they think he might be back before the turn of the year, otherwise he's taking up a spot where we could have added another goalkeeper.

It may have escaped your attention but we are short of at least a striker and a goalkeeper so if he is knackered and can't play this year its senseless to include him and take a place which could be occupied by a one or the other. there again its Palace logic!

You can't not name players and keep spaces for free agents. That's why we named Mutch and Wickham etc.

If you have pros over 21 on the books then you have to name 25 and can only keep spaces for frees if you don't have 25 on the books. That's why it's gutting that Mutch didn't go out on loan. That would have given us another space rather than leaving us with that lazy talentless knob.

That guy is made out of glass, so we better get rid of him asap.
Get in a new Ian Wright that would be something.

Hmm, I was unaware of that. Hopefully one more striker on a free will give the squad enough depth to last until January (and let's hope we're already looking for deals to line up ahead of time).

Yes, I wouldn't put too reliance on that.

Neither was I aware of that. Is that definitely the rule?

Can we loan in a goalkeeper if we're down to one? Or do we have to rely on younger keepers to play premier league football if the last one (of two) gets injured?
