Probably my favourite actor growing up, in many films I shouldn't have been allowed to watch but thankfully was. His Willy Wonka s***s all over the Burton/Depp one too. was gonna say that, like most modern remakes - an insult to the original

Well, it got so that every piss-ant prairie punk who thought he could shoot a gun would ride into town to try out the Waco Kid. I must have killed more men than Cecil B. DeMille. It got pretty gritty. I started to hear the word "draw" in my sleep. Then one day, I was just walking down the street when I heard a voice behind me say, "Reach for it, mister!" I spun around... and there I was, face to face with a six-year old kid. Well, I just threw my guns down and walked away. Little b****** shot me in the ass. So I limped to the nearest saloon, crawled inside a whiskey bottle... and I've been there ever since.

Stir Crazy - Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor at their movie finest.

Werewolf, there wolf. Sadly not a line delivered by Gene Wilder... but by Marty Feldman... Never mind... Gene delivers many other funny lines in that film. Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles and The Producers are all in my top 10 comedy films of all time. Gene had such a young face - he was 41 when he starred in Blazing Saddles, but he looked about 25. He definitely was the master of dead pan delivery of funny lines. RIP Gene.

I actually prefer the Producers on stage but Blazing Saddles is one of the finest comedies ever made. Absolute genius.
