I am likely to get majorly shot down for this, but I'm getting fed up with the political correctness of putting some of the womens sport on prime time tv, along with female pundits giving analysis on the mens version of the game.

Example 1 :-

Saw that Somerset were playing Kent tonight in a T20 game (me being a Somerset supporter), only to find Sky had a womens international cricket match on. I would love to know the viewing figures for this game, does this really attract that amount of viewers ?

If TV companies want to cover women's sports then fine, not a problem, but give them their own channel and stop taking away slots for other matches.

Example 2 :-

Having female players giving analysis on mens football and now mens cricket. What do they know about playing sport at that level ?

Was it not recently that U-15 boys team beat the Australian womens football. Surely then the boys on that team should be on football focus giving analysis on the premier league.

Conversely, I would not expect PL players to be giving analysis on women's football.

Haha this place. What a joke.

Goal keeping - that's all you need to say about women's football.

If Hennessey was a woman (and English) he would be England's number one.

It means that women goalkeepers are f**king sh*t, but even a pony goalkeeper like Hennessy would be good enough to get in the women's England team. If he wasn't welsh. I think.

So what he is saying is the standard is lower - no s*** sherlock.

Doesn't mean the pride, dedication and respect isn't there. No one expects the skill level to match the men's premier league - but it never will when the focus is on mens - which, is where it understandably is, due to the money.

Total nonsense. The women's game is rubbish compared to the men's.

2 hours to complete two semi-finals as opposed to 7 hours plus for the bloke's.

Optimistic as ever

They rolled out Maggie Alphonsi on ITV for the rugby world cup. They insist on putting women on IPL cricket commetary too and it doesn't work.

I bet they'll try and use Charlotte Edwards on some men's cricket matches too. They might know the game but the best thing about cricket commentary is the piss taking between them, this immediately stops when they have a woman in the box.

That's why ten sport put the woman in the studio or on pitchside interviews during the big bash while leaving Howie, Ponting, Gilchrist, Flintoff etc to do the comms. And it works very well.

...unless it's one of the Williams Brothers. Then you get some poor opponent having to stand helpless while balls are battered at her for 45 minutes. That is a poor spectacle.
