It is people like you, and comments like this, that make me ashamed of my fellow citizens this morning. I predict that in a few months no-one will be admitting to having voted out. Having a referendum always looked a bad idea during a period of economic uncertainty and so it has proved, with disastrous consequences for all of us, but especially our children. Farage is a prat, whose opinions are suitable only for the bar room. Now we need some proper politicians to rescue us from our own stupidity. I am 72 and this is the blackest day of my life. My parents faced a war. This is my worst feeling. There will be an election and providing the Labour party replace Corbyn I will now vote for them. I will never vote for a right wing Conservative party, or worse, UKIP. I want right wing views eradicated from the UK. That now is the target. We have seen a triumph of xenophobia, selfishness, hate and nostalgia over reason and reality. It needs to stop here.

"I predict a riot" by The Kaiser Chiefs.

You're only 10 years older than me Grandad, but you sound pretty bitter. I'll be trumpeting this victory for commonsense for decades!

If you had followed my advice that I posted up on here in response to another posters false predictions you could have made a killing like I did.

I am an ex IFA and no one listened, preferring to listen to the Economists/Tony Blair/John Major etc who all got it wrong.

Those Betfair odds for Leave winning were asking to be lumped on too.

Thanks,Wisbech Eagle.A welcome injection of sanity ..As the old saying goes (suitably amended) "divorce in haste, repent at leisure..."

It's all a bit like the old Sun headline back in the day: "will the last person to leave Britain please turn out the lights"!

I prefer "Freddie Starr ate my hamster" as my favourite headline personally.

Still, each to his own.

A good dose of horseradish and you'll be as right as rain in a day or two.

Time to move forward together.

Note to self, must get pipe and slippers on and drink hot cocoa.

Doesn't bother me, it just shows you in a bad light imho.

As it was I voted remain but after a lot of deliberation. I came very close to spoiling the paper such was my undecidedness.

We have the result that we have and I'm going to take positives from it. I just hope that the way we move forward benefits the many not the few.

Nice to see farage (the chief)say it was a mistake to promise £350 million to the NHS because it ain't going to happen. How many voted leave because they were taken in by downright lies made for political gain. Don't say 'well they all do it' becaue it doesn't make it right.

Onwards and upwards!

Doesn't this make you an oxymoron?

Probably would have been better to use the phrase fascist views...

What 'fascist' views? I see nobody suggesting we invade Abyssinia or drain the Pontine Marshes although I'd have thought getting the trains to run on time would be quite popular.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

He said something like the billions saved could or would be allocated to a number of govt services/infrastructure. He included the NHS. He didn't say it wouldn't go to the NHS.

The £350mil was an error, just as the £4,300 isn't a loss to families, it's £4,300 less well off in 15 years. Still better off, just not as well off.

Also, isn't the £350mil subject to a loosening of the rebate in 2020? Subsidies I don't know, I doubt they would've scrapped them. Maybe changed them and engineered industry to different parts of their EU project.

It's just typical of people like you that they can't accept that the majority of people don't agree with them. Only central London and Scotland were strongly remain.
It is this sort of arrogant, dismissive, superior attitude that has forced the average English person to take this step.

Remember that.

Agreed - you can't only believe in democracy when it suits you.
