Why is there any need to swear in a conversation

This is what my wife says.In the 'Local' we used to go to there used to be a group of chaps who seemingly couldn't string a few sentences together without using the "F Word". They were all nice blokes but when they were together and having a bit of banter the language was somewhat coarse.

Firstly, how many kids are on here?

Any "kid" aged 12 or above after first year of secondary school surely knows every swearword in the book

Are you suggesting that there aren't any Crystal Palace fans under the age of 16 and regarding your point about any 12 year old knows all about swearing from school are you suggesting that because they have heard the words at school it then becomes acceptable to bandy those same words about on an internet forum.

If that is the case then those same 12 year olds probably know all about sex from school too so should they be actively participating too?

This is the most non sequitur piece of writing since the last Donald Trump speech I read.

Is there anything intrinsically wrong with swearing?

Some evidence suggests that more intelligent people swear more often.

One might equally ask if there is anything intrinsically right with swearing

There are studies that indicate that more intelligent people swear more often but there again one can find evidence that the world is flat

Why are swear words filtered on this website?

If I wanna say e.g. Jordan Mutch played like utter f***ing dogs*** the filters don't stop anyone knowing what I actually meant?

We all swear and know what each other mean despite the asterisk.

Is there a good reason behind this or would it be something others would like to see changed too>?

If you want to swear, then f*** off and do it somewhere else!

Swearing is great in the right situation ( most actually), I've been walking round a big building site with the builder and an architect or quantity surveyor ( who are really looked upto at their firm ), in a suit. I'm in steel toe caps and casual clothes.
The builders talking to them , then I ask a question and the surveyor tries to put me down with a cutting reply and I go " who the f**k you talking to mate?"( don't even need to swap the mate for c**t), you see the colour drain out of the spineless little c**t. Talk to the people at their work and their wife like they want , then some jumped up tradesman like me fronts them and they melt, the best bit is the 5 second silence that I'm relishing and he's looking for a hole to sink into.
Would never put it on someone that couldn't /shouldn't have to take it, but some of the pompous c**ts that have it all their own way, f**king love it. Get as much out of it as cashing the cheque sometimes.

Although you need to open up a bit more if someone's more on your level. If the boss of the electrical firm on the same site as us is chatting to me on the level , then talks down to one of the plasterers working for me , always a blinder. As our plasterer has to hold it down a bit as its not his job.
"Why you talking to him like some sort of f***ing c**t?"
"Would you talk to him like that in a pub?"
Again a blinding awkward silence.
