If he wants to be like that he can do it in his own home or whatever establishments he frequents where it is acceptable. Izzard showed no respect or consideration for others and knew exactly what he was doing. i take it you've just climbed out of a time machine??

If people like that want to do so, they can do it in their own homes and not online...

My thoughts are that people should show respect for one another and this shouldn't happen. Also, maybe the story should be 'only one moron said something to Eddie Izzard'. Imagine if he went dressed up like Hinge and Bracket (which he does look like these days), to a cup final in the eighties, he wouldn't just have been 'abused', he would have been beaten up or worse. The fact that only one idiot said his from 88,000 people, the majority of whom had been drinking since breakfast, speaks volumes to me and should be celebrated. There is one other observation. Like all media whores, Eddie Izzard has to publicise this. Therefore, I question his motives. I think he knows all publicity is good publicity.

This guy has been successful in his intention. Read the previous posts He is just a WUM, probably a school kid but maybe a dinosaur. Not only does he not want to see men dressed as women at football, he also doesn't want to see women dressed as women I doubt we shall see much more of him

I hear what you're saying but you'll just create problems long term, possibly with your kids becoming or being seen as bigoted. I've taken to telling my kids that the world is a strange place indeed. What might be for one is not for another. How can we learn to get along unless we accept difference and beliefs/standards that don't match ours? Better to be able to explain and teach your kids rather than pretend it doesn't exist?

Wow, the amount of egalitarian thought policing you get on these boards by the self righteous.....'I don't think it's acceptable' this, 'time machine' that. Old Eddie is fine, it's the sodding professionally offended that get on my wick.

It amazes why people even care if someone is gay, straight, transgender or whatever else there is.I mean unless it's breaking the law why would you even give a s***? How is it possibly effecting you in any way?

Old Eddie is fine, it's the sodding professionally offended that get on my wick. Then you are missing Eddie's point. He actually said that it pleased him when he was abused by some moron how many other people stepped in. So yes, he was using the example to make a point and to get publicity. But the point is that the 'professionally offended' people that waded in and put said pond life in his place were the heroes of the piece. Eddie was making clear that our morality and sense of community was overwhelming, the occasional idiot can't shake the Palace spirit.

I hadn't addressed Eddie's point or seen any quote by him....Nor did I say so either....So I can hardly miss what I didn't address.

They're generally the same people who think all Muslims are terrorists and that women should still be in the kitchen making their dinner. And funnily enough, I looked at your previous post about 'women at Selhurst' and that was another indicator of your mindset.
