A pretty good description of her. I'm sure the people of Lancashire, whatever their views (I also have an apartment in Preston so am a sometime resident), would rather she keep her nose out of their affairs.

I'm living in said region due to family commitments. Only heard about her due to the news.

She could have checked out last week with Victoria Wood.

Both were supposed to be comedy actresses but often failed to raise even a titter.

As an aside, I continued watching BBC1 after HIGNFY and a "comedy" programme called 'Boomers' was on.

I gave it every chance but as the credits rolled after 30 minutes, my laughter muscles hadn't been exercised even once.

I use to quite enjoy Emma Thompson's presence on film or TV.

Still, once she implicitly announced herself as a privileged English culture hating egalitarian.......Well, now she kind of makes my skin crawl.

In have no idea what Emma Thompson is like but in general it seems like Celebs can't win.

Either they live in their own little bubble and don't give a s*** about the country / people or

They are interfering busy bodies who hate this country.

I seem to recall much jubilation on your part when the Blessed Margaret departed this life.

Well Mr Kermit, she may be intelligent, but as with most soppy liberals she has fcuk all common sense.

You might be correct but I'm not sure what liberalism has to do with fracking. That is clearly an environmental issue that could potentially effect any of us.

That said, I'm not sure her opinion is any more valid that any one elses however important she may or may not consider herself.

Cuckers, Gusset has explained this type of apparent hypocrisy to me. When he and his sort does it, it is ok because it is all in 'context'. When people who politically oppose him do this, we are sub human scum with no 'compassion'.

The do-gooding lefties on here seem to forget their pathetic reaction to the death of a frail old lady.
They were in the streets jubilantly celebrating her death. No doubt some delusional prat will tell us that they were celebrating the death of a child eating monster

It does seem to be that people of that ilk attach themselves to these protests. A lot of Liberals like to tell us how environmentaly friendly they are. It seems to be them showing off their 'caring side'.

Wishing someone dead is rarely commendable regardless of political persuasion but it is good to set off a bout of faux moral outrage.
