This strike reinforces my view that all members of a militant Union should be subjected to similar inconvenience in their lives.

The RMT don't care about workers they just have a political axe to grind.

I support alot of justified strike action like the Junior Docs but not people who work on the railways.

I seem to recall all the hoo-ha about closing down ticket offices on the Underground and having a night tube. So we get the usual diatribe about Tories cutting jobs etc but in fact it has improved. I use Vauxhall and they got rid of the ticket office and widened the ticket barriers with staff facing customers, it's alot better and night tube will be great. And we had to endure 5 or 6 days of strike chaos - and for what ? for what?

I hate unions too, as all they do is f*** things up for the public.

Aren't union members part of the public though.

I guess it depends, on whether or not you lost your job as a result of things like restructuring, or ended up working more hours for less pay etc. Role of the Unions isn't to be popular, or make things better for the public, but to represent the best interests of their members.

Usually there is more to it all than the simple 'ranted facts'.

Not when it comes to their place of work, no.

They're employees and they should do their jobs, so that the paying public can go about their business.

You lack knowledge.
Unions act on the results of the votes by their members... unless you are saying the RMT rigged the vote for their desired result, which is quite a accusation .

You spout bulls***.
If you want we can exchange contact details, and I'm more than happy to meet at the Stoke game and explain to you why I think you're gutless.

Unions only care about themselves and they're employees while at work.

How is that bulls***?

I'm more than happy for you to explain yourself here rather than wait 10 days. You posted it, so you shouldn't need that long to expand on how you've come to this conclusion.

Nice to see you compound the persona you're coming across with in that post too.

Not sure that's a great way to challenge entrenched views. But I'll hold your coats...

What persona? You called me a internet warrior, i'm just pointing out i'm more than willing to repeat my points face to face.
You said they should just get on with their jobs, this strike is about safety... they're fighting for what they believe, showing moral courage in the face of intimidation. If you don't fight for what you believe, you're gutless
