Although Thatcher didn't target the coal industry because it was dirty and dangerous, the oh so dynamic lefties who vilify the banks seem to ignore the fact that it would have died decades before shipbuilding or steel.

Not to say we shouldn't invest in it but I would imagine the benefits won't be seen for many years yet. maybe electric cars might increase it's use
